Browser Extension for Chrome & Safari:

• The free extension can be installed via the Google Chrome Store or the Apple apps for Safari. The extension is subject to testing and approval by Google for the Chrome extension and by Apple for the Safari extension and can be found and listed officially in their extension stores.
• The extension currently works exclusively on amazon.com.
• When the product page is opened on amazon.com, the extension gets activated and launches automatically the price comparison process and provides you with a list of results.
• There is no data storage due to a dynamically and individually generated results page that exists only for the active user's session.

WhatsApp Chatbot:

• If the user chooses to use the WhatsApp chatbot (hereafter referred to as Robin), they automatically provide Robin with their telephone number, thereby agreeing to share this personal information.
• Depending on the user's WhatsApp personal settings (which is beyond Robin's control), it may happen that the user's profile picture is shared with Robinas well.
• The search queries that the user shares with Robin within the WhatsApp chat are registered and used solely for processing, which is necessary in order to be able to produce a list of results.

Introducing the Privacy Policy

This privacy policy ("Privacy Policy") explains how Robin collects and processes information from members and users of the website, software applications, and other online services we provide (collectively "Robin's products"). Robin products include, but are not limited to, the Robin extension for web browsers (the "Extension"), in future the Robin mobile application (the "Mobile App"), and the website located at myshoppingbot.net (the "Website"). If we ever need additional personal information for a specific reason, we will tell you so and ask for your permission. Also, to the extent that Robin has links to other websites (for example, retailers), please note that we do not own, operate, or control them, and they have their own controlling privacy policies that you should review and consider.


What data we collect and why

In order to provide our products, Robin collects information that you share directly with us when you use our website, extension, or Mobile App. Though you don't have to, you can choose to provide your email to set up an account with us, it will help us in the future to provide personalised recommendation feed, earn Robin credits and more. Robin also collects technical information about your device and use of Robin to make sure that our products are working correctly. The information we collect is geared towards providing Robin members with a better way to shop online and to help us develop, improve, and market our services.


Robin does not track your search engine history, emails, or your browsing on any site that is not a retail website (a site where you can shop and make a purchase). When you are on a pre-approved retail site, to help you save money, Robin will collect information about that site that lets us know which prices and offers to find for you. We may also collect information about pricing and availability of items, which we can share in future with the rest of the Robin community.

We know how important your personal data is to you, so we will never sell it. We'll only share it with your consent or in ways you'd expect (as we explain here). That means we will share your data if needed to complete your purchase, with businesses who help us operate Robin, or if we are legally required to do so.
